About Us

In April of 2009, a small group of motivated women joined together for the first time on a chilly Sunday to kick the ball around and get some exercise in the Bois de Vincennes in Paris. Since that initial day, we have grown to be an eclectic group of girls of varying levels of experience, who, nevertheless, love soccer. Consisting of mostly expats from such countries as Canada, United States, England, Ireland, Mexico, and Australia, we join together every Sunday for some fresh air, some laughs, and of course a friendly match. For the most part, we play pick-up soccer amongst each other. However, we manage to play in tournaments and some slightly more competitive games against other local teams whenever possible. The WISP roster is reaching approximately 40 regular members. On most Sundays we average between 12 and 22 girls on the pitch, depending on the time of year.

Whether you're a novice or seasoned player, or just someone looking to try a new sport, while making some friends, WISP is loads of fun and a great way to get back into the sport while abroad. We play every Sunday, rain or shine at 2 pm.
