Hey everyone,

Hope you had a lovely weekend. This rain is something else, huh?? Good thing we WISPies aren't afraid of a bit of rain, although I'm sure we wouldn't complain if Mother Nature decided to shine down on us soon! We will be starting our weekly training and pick-up match a bit earlier this week. It went really well a few weeks back when we tried it so we thought we'd try and give it a go once a month or so to allow for some free Sunday afternoons!

So let me hear you! Who's in for some more soccer action? Please click on the title of this post and indicate yes or no for the following: will you will be joining us on Sunday 27h of May at 11h00?

This week, we will play on a grassy field beside the Chateau de Vincennes,on Cours des Marechaux. The field is between two small one-way roads, just down from the metro (Line 1: Vincennes), before you've reached the main roundabout where you cross to Parc Floral. We commence at 11h00 which means we expect you there for 10h45 so you have time to change into your gear..

I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday for the training, game and a post-game drink or lunch at our sponsor!

Anyone else loving this SUNSHINE right now??? Ohhh yeah...!!

Who's in for some more soccer action? Please click on the title of this post and indicate yes or no for the following: will you will be joining us on Sunday 20th of May at 14h00?

We WILL be playing on the big fields and meeting at the statue on Route des Pyramides at 13h45 SHARP. Therefore, if you do not know where you are going please indicate so in your RSVP and meet at the metro stop at 13h30 so you can meet with a buddy (a WISPie who knows where she's going) and walk to the statue together. This week Simon will be available to meet newbies at the metro line 1 stop for Chateau de Vincennes. Simon's number: 06.46.66.8.05

Otherwise, if you will be meeting us at the statue on your own accord please take into account the additional walking time it takes to arrive from the metro (10 min) or RER (15min). We would like everyone to show respect and show up on time so we can get started promptly.

29/04/2012 - Us vs Them WISPirthday Game!! (PLEASE Note the time!)

To celebrate 3 years of fun, football and friendship please join us for our 3rd WISPirthday!!

In honour of this event, friends, partners, colleagues, family etc are all invited "pour la fête" ... and to warm up for the bar festivities, we first invite everyone to enjoy another competitive game of US v THEM (aka WISP v OTHERS!). The idea is for every WISP playing on the day to invite a +1 who will make up the other team, then we play an "official" game where you make personal bets with your "partner" about what the loser has to do/give/buy.

If you can't convince a +1 just let us know and we'll find you one, so that you still get to play.

Hi everyone,
Hope you had a fab Sunday on the pitch. Lucy and I would like to extend a HUGE thank you to all of you who came out to cheer us on during the marathon. It was fantastic seeing some of your faces pop up at various points on the course (even if I didn't know who you were at first through my foggy brain - sorry Melissa and Maeve lol)!

Good luck to the girls representing WISP Tuesday night. Be sure to check the Facebook page for game info if you are planning to come and cheer!!! (and don't forget your pink!)

Hi everyone!! Hope you didn't overindulge too much this past weekend. I know there was waaaaay too much chocolate happening at my house!

06/04/2012 - NO SOCCER/TRAINING due to holidays!!

Dear WISPies,

Due to the many WISPies travelling or visiting family this coming weekend, we have decided to cancel our regular training and pick-up match and wish you a wonderful holiday time. Whether it's Easter eggs or Matzah balls, enjoy your weekend off, have a safe and happy holiday and don't forget to come back to the pitch on April 15th when training and a pick-up match resume as per usual.

We WILL be playing on the big fields and meeting at the statue on Route des Pyramides at 13h45 SHARP. Christine Walsh has offered to act as the buddy this week to walk newcomers (or big field newbies) to the right spot. If you need Christine's mobile phone number, please let us know!
